What Is School Branding?
Branding is more than a logo. It is the overall impression people have of your school. A strong brand communicates professionalism, trustworthiness, and quality before a parent ever visits your campus.
Good branding includes: - A recognizable logo or crest - Consistent colors used everywhere - A clear and memorable school motto or tagline - A tone of voice that reflects your values - Visual consistency across all materials
Your School Logo
If your school already has a logo or crest, we will use it on your website. If not, we can create a simple, professional logo as part of the project.
**If you have a logo:** - Send the highest resolution version available - PNG format with transparent background is ideal - Vector files (SVG, AI, EPS) are even better - Include any variations (full color, single color, icon only)
**If you need a logo:** - Think about what symbols represent your school (books, torch, shield, tree, etc.) - What are your school colors? - What feeling should the logo convey? (traditional, modern, warm, prestigious) - We will present 2-3 options for you to choose from
Pro Tips
- Simple logos work better on websites and small screens
- Avoid logos with too many tiny details - they become unreadable when small
- Your logo should look good in both color and black-and-white
Choosing School Colors
Colors create emotional responses. Choose wisely:
**Blue** - Trust, stability, professionalism. Popular with academic institutions. **Green** - Growth, nature, harmony. Works well for schools in rural settings. **Red** - Energy, passion, strength. Bold choice that demands attention. **Purple** - Wisdom, creativity, prestige. Communicates excellence. **Yellow/Gold** - Optimism, warmth, achievement. Best used as an accent color.
**Best Practice:** Pick one primary color and one secondary color. Too many colors look chaotic and unprofessional.
If your school already has established colors (e.g., on uniforms), use those for consistency.
Tone of Voice
How your website "speaks" matters as much as what it says:
**Professional but Warm** - You want parents to trust you AND feel welcome. Avoid being so formal that you sound cold, or so casual that you seem unserious.
**Good Example:** "At Bright Future Academy, we believe every child deserves an environment where they can thrive. Our dedicated teachers work closely with each student to build confidence and academic excellence."
**Too Formal:** "The institution provides educational services in accordance with national curriculum standards and maintains regulatory compliance."
**Too Casual:** "Hey! We're a cool school where kids have fun and learn stuff!"
Be yourself, but be the best version of yourself.
