Why Content Matters
Your website is only as strong as the content on it. A beautifully designed site with thin or generic content will not help your school stand out. Parents, students, and partners judge your school by what they read and see online.
This guide helps you prepare everything our development team needs to build a website that truly represents your institution.
Photography Guidelines
High-quality photos transform a website. Here is what we need:
**Essential Photos:** - Front entrance of the school building - At least 2-3 classroom shots showing learning in action - Laboratory, library, or computer room (if available) - Playground and sports facilities - School events or assemblies
**Photo Quality Tips:** - Shoot in natural daylight whenever possible - Hold the camera steady or use a tripod - Landscape orientation works best for web - Minimum resolution of 1280x720 pixels - Avoid blurry, dark, or cluttered backgrounds
Pro Tips
- Morning light between 8-10am produces the best indoor photos
- Clean and tidy spaces before photographing them
- Action shots of students learning are more engaging than empty rooms
Warning
You MUST have written consent from parents or guardians for any photos featuring minors. We cannot use unauthorized images.
Writing Your School Story
Every school has a story. We need you to articulate yours:
**About Section** - When was the school founded? What inspired its creation? What makes it unique in your community?
**Mission Statement** - In 1-2 sentences, what is the purpose of your school? What do you want students to achieve?
**Programs Offered** - List every academic program, extracurricular activity, and special initiative. Be thorough.
**Achievements** - Exam results, awards, notable alumni, community impact, partnerships. Anything that demonstrates excellence.
**Admissions Info** - Age requirements, enrollment process, term dates, fees (if any), uniform requirements.
Pro Tips
- Write as if speaking to a parent considering your school for the first time
- Use simple, clear language - avoid jargon or overly formal tone
- Include specific numbers and facts wherever possible
Organizing Your Materials
Before submitting, organize everything into these folders:
**Folder 1: Photos** - All images labeled clearly (e.g., "classroom-science.jpg", "front-entrance.jpg")
**Folder 2: Text Content** - A single document with all written content, clearly divided by page (Home, About, Programs, Contact)
**Folder 3: Branding** - School logo (PNG with transparent background preferred), school colors (hex codes if known), any existing letterhead or branding materials
**Folder 4: Documents** - Accreditation certificates, registration papers, any supporting documents
Upload everything to the shared folder link we provide. If you cannot use digital tools, let your FORGE contact know and we will arrange an alternative.
